3. Eligibility and User Responsibilities

By using our website or services, you confirm that:

  • You are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.
  • The information you provide is accurate and up to date.
  • You have the authority to act on behalf of any business or organisation you represent.
  • You will use our website and services lawfully and responsibly.
  • You will not misuse our platform, interfere with its operation or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems.

You must not submit misleading information, impersonate another person, infringe intellectual property rights or use our services for unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purposes.

4. Website Information and Content

We aim to ensure that information published on our website is accurate and current. However, content may occasionally contain errors, omissions or outdated information.

Website content is provided for general informational purposes and should not be treated as professional, legal, financial or business advice.

We reserve the right to update, amend, remove or discontinue website content and features where reasonably necessary.

5. Membership Plans

London Media Forum may offer different membership plans for businesses, professionals and individuals.

Each membership plan may have its own eligibility criteria, fees, benefits, access rights and duration. These details will be communicated through the relevant membership page or agreement.

By purchasing or applying for a membership, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate registration and payment information.
  • Comply with the applicable membership terms.
  • Use member benefits only as permitted.
  • Respect the rights, privacy and professional standing of other members.
  • Avoid misrepresenting your membership status or benefits.

Membership does not automatically guarantee media coverage, business leads, partnerships, awards, invitations or commercial results.

We reserve the right to review, suspend or terminate a membership where there is a reasonable basis to believe that a member has breached these Terms, supplied fraudulent information or engaged in conduct that materially undermines the safety or integrity of the Forum. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to respond.

6. Fees, Payments and Renewals

Prices, payment arrangements and applicable taxes will be displayed or communicated before a paid service is purchased.

You are responsible for ensuring that payment information is accurate and that the required fees are paid when due.

Where memberships or services renew automatically, the renewal frequency, amount, cancellation procedure and applicable notice requirements will be disclosed before purchase.

Any cancellation, refund or renewal conditions will be subject to the applicable service agreement and mandatory consumer protection laws.

Where statutory cancellation rights apply, nothing in these Terms is intended to restrict those rights. For eligible online service contracts, a 14-day cancellation period may apply, subject to the relevant legal conditions and exceptions. If you request that a service begins during this period, additional rules may apply.

7. Digital PR and Media Services

London Media Forum may provide Digital PR opportunities designed to help businesses and individuals communicate their stories, achievements, expertise and perspectives.

The exact scope of each service will depend on the relevant package, agreement or campaign.

Unless expressly agreed in writing:

  • We do not guarantee publication by a third-party media outlet.
  • We do not guarantee specific search rankings, audience reach, engagement, leads, revenue or commercial outcomes.
  • Publication decisions remain subject to the relevant publisher’s editorial policies and requirements.
  • Third-party platforms may change their policies, availability or publication practices without notice.

You are responsible for ensuring that materials supplied to us are accurate, lawful and appropriately authorised for publication.

We reserve the right to decline or remove content that is misleading, unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, infringing or otherwise inconsistent with our editorial standards.

8. Awards and Recognition

London Media Forum may organise, promote or facilitate awards and recognition programmes.

Each programme may have separate eligibility criteria, submission requirements, assessment procedures, deadlines, fees and terms.

Unless expressly stated in the relevant programme rules:

  • Submission does not guarantee shortlisting, nomination or selection.
  • Shortlisting does not guarantee an award.
  • Awards and recognition are not guarantees of future commercial success.
  • Applicants must provide truthful and verifiable information.
  • Any required entry fee and its refund conditions will be communicated before submission.

We reserve the right to investigate suspected misrepresentation, disqualify ineligible entries or withdraw recognition where material information is found to be false or misleading, subject to the relevant programme rules and applicable law.

Where judging or assessment takes place, the applicable process and any available review mechanism will be described in the programme information.

9. Interactive Sessions and Networking

London Media Forum may provide online or in-person sessions, discussions, interviews, networking opportunities and other professional activities.

Participation may be subject to registration requirements, capacity limits, eligibility criteria, event-specific fees and separate conduct guidelines.

Participants are expected to behave respectfully and professionally.

We reserve the right to refuse or end participation where necessary to protect the safety, integrity or proper operation of an activity.

Dates, speakers, formats and venues may change. If we cancel or materially alter a paid activity, any applicable refund, transfer or alternative arrangements will be communicated in accordance with the relevant booking terms and applicable law.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, participation does not establish an employment relationship, partnership, agency relationship or endorsement between LMF and any participant.

10. User-Submitted Content

You may submit articles, photographs, biographies, company information, logos, interviews, testimonials or other materials for consideration.

You retain ownership of your content. By submitting it, you grant London Media Forum a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to review, reproduce, edit, format, publish and distribute that content for the purposes communicated to you, including delivering the requested service and promoting the relevant LMF activity.

We will not assume an unrestricted right to use submitted materials for unrelated promotional purposes merely because they have been submitted. Where separate consent or permission is required, we will seek it.

You confirm that:

  • You own the content or have the necessary permissions to submit and use it.
  • The content does not unlawfully infringe third-party rights.
  • Any factual claims are accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  • You have obtained the required permissions from identifiable individuals where applicable.

We may decline, edit or remove submitted content that breaches these Terms or applicable law.

11. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the London Media Forum name, branding, website design, original written content, graphics and other original materials are owned by or licensed to LMF.

You may access and use these materials for personal, informational and legitimate professional purposes.

You must not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell or commercially exploit our protected materials without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

Any third-party names, logos, trademarks and materials remain the property of their respective owners.

12. Third-Party Websites and Services

Our website may link to third-party websites, publishers, payment processors, event platforms and social media services.

We do not control all third-party services and are not responsible for their content, security, privacy practices or availability.

Your use of those services may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies. We encourage you to review them before providing personal information or completing a transaction.

13. Privacy and Cookies

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.

Our use of cookies and similar technologies is explained in our Cookie Policy. Where consent is legally required, non-essential cookies and similar technologies will only be activated after the appropriate consent has been obtained.

By using the website, you acknowledge that these policies form part of the information governing your interaction with LMF. This acknowledgement does not replace consent where consent is legally required.

14. Website Availability and Security

We aim to keep our website accessible and functioning properly. However, uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

We may temporarily suspend access for maintenance, security updates, technical issues or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

You must not attempt to introduce malicious software, disrupt website operations, bypass security measures or access restricted systems without authorisation.

15. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any non-excludable consumer rights.

Subject to the foregoing, LMF will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses, loss of anticipated business opportunities, or losses arising from third-party decisions, platforms or services, to the extent permitted by law.

We do not guarantee that use of the Forum will produce particular commercial, reputational or professional outcomes.

Where LMF provides paid services, its liability will be assessed in accordance with the applicable agreement and the law governing that agreement.

16. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you may be responsible for reasonable losses, liabilities and costs arising directly from your unlawful conduct, material breach of these Terms or infringement of third-party rights.

This provision does not require you to indemnify LMF for losses caused by our own negligence, breach of contract or unlawful conduct where such liability cannot lawfully be transferred to you.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our services, business operations or legal obligations.

The revised version will be published on our website with an updated revision date. Where a change materially affects an existing paid agreement or your legal rights, we will provide any notice or obtain any agreement required by law or the relevant contract.

Your continued use of the website after an update does not override any consent or agreement that is legally required.

18. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using our website at any time.

Memberships and paid services may be cancelled or terminated in accordance with their specific terms, applicable notice requirements and mandatory legal rights.

We may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to address security concerns, unlawful activity, serious misconduct or a material breach of these Terms.

Termination does not remove any rights, obligations or liabilities that accrued before termination.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless the applicable agreement or mandatory law provides otherwise.

Courts with appropriate jurisdiction in England and Wales may hear disputes, subject to any mandatory jurisdictional rights available to consumers.
